Business Development Manager - Flare Gas Ignition

Wärtsilä Gas Solutions is a global business line within the Marine Solutions division. The business line turnover is approximately EUR 320 million, with people located in many locations such as Norway, Poland, UK, France, Finland and China. The business unit has end-to-end responsibility from Sales through to commissioning of completed systems.

Wartsila Gas Solutions offers systems and solutions related a number of oil & gas segments. The scope includes marine LNG and LPG cargo systems, fuel gas systems for marine vessels, onshore gas terminals, biogas systems and flare gas ignition.

To our Business Line in Flare Gas Ignition in Bergen we are looking for Business Development Manager. The role can be based in other areas in Norway.

Position description • Direct reporting to Product Line Manager.
• Responsible and accountable for the coordinated management of multiple related projects for Flare Gas Ignition package directed toward strategic business and other organizational objectives.
• Involved in development of Marketing strategy and JV formulation as per Wartsila’ s guidelines.
• Communication with internal product line for the bundled solutions sales approach towards new/existing clients.
• Tracking of new and upcoming projects and keen interceptions for generating of sales opportunities.
• Preparation of Bid, Tendering, Business strategy and market approach planning. Risk evaluation. Subcontracting management, attending Bid Clarification meetings.
• Build credibility, establish rapport, and maintain communication with clients at multiple levels, including vendors, sub-contractors associated with the projects.
• Identify business opportunity in upstream oil and gas sector with B2B contact and linking with potential customers.
• Update CRM, conduct KOM, BCM internally and with client.
• Define and initiate projects, and assign Project Team to effectively manage project execution cost, schedule, and performance, while working to ensure the ultimate goal of the project.
• Maintain continuous alignment of program scope with strategic business objectives, and make recommendations to modify the program to enhance effectiveness toward the business result or strategic intent.
