|Position description||We are in an exciting period of growth and we are looking for an experienced Machine Vision Specialist to join our team, contributing to the development of new and existing vision-based products (visible and thermal). This is a "hands on" role as part of a highly motivated, multi-disciplinary and dynamic team and will be crucial to bringing our current ideas through from initial prototype to final production release. We are working on a new suite of sensors to respond to the increasing demand for situational awareness sensors and autonomous operations at sea; our customer’s ultimate success depends on our ability to solve these cutting-edge problems.|
•Contribute to the development of signal processing algorithms in our products.
•Leverage your machine vision expertise and demonstrate the superiority of your algorithms.
•Deliver implementations that meet application requirements.
•Develop detection and tracking algorithms.
•Work cross-functionally to execute functional testing, system integration and performance validation on new products in automated simulation and in vessel trials.
•Develop working relationships with customer engineering teams, and internal operations, sales, business development and service teams.
•Involved at all stages of product design from proposal to delivery.
•Successful delivery of at least one machine vision solution in a challenging environment (segmentation, detection, tracking, identification).
•Extensive use of modelling and data analysis techniques to gain insight and drive algorithm development.
•Proficiency in C#/C++ and a scripting language.
•Understanding of position measurement sensors and 3D reconstruction.
•Mostly worked in an Agile development team (source control, continuous integration, test driven development).
•Experience with Subversion, Jenkins, JIRA, VisualStudio, Matlab development stack.
•Object oriented design patterns.
•Hardware acceleration techniques.
•Understanding of embedded systems.
•Willing to occasionally travel to test sites (onshore) or on vessels for sea trials (offshore).
•MSc degree level or equivalent experience in a Software related area (e.g. Signal processing and machine vision).
