Position description Wärtsilä Energy Solutions, Engine Power Plants Technology & Product Management is looking for an enthusiastic, development oriented Module Electrical Engineer to join Solutions & Modularisation team in Vaasa. Module Electrical Engineer’s responsibilities include design and implementation of auxiliary module electrical systems, testing of manufactured modules, development of module testing tools and manufacturing support to Finnish manufacturers and Delivery Centre Khopoli colleagues in Maharastra, India. The design engineer works as part of a team and in co-operation and supported by senior development manager.

Location: Vaasa, Finland.
Responsibilities Module electrical engineer is responsible for design of engine power plants auxiliary modules electrical systems. The design responsibility includes supporting, supervising and monitoring the installation of auxiliary modules at manufacturer workshops, testing of modules, development and construction of testing tools, development of ATEX and IECEx competencies and delivery project support in auxiliary modules design.
Requirements To succeed as Module Electrical Engineer, you hold BSc in Electrical Engineering or another suitable degree. We expect 3-5 years of experience in electrical installation design and implementation. If you have more experience, the position can be adjusted accordingly. You have good knowledge of electrical CAD tools (Acad electrical is considered an advantage) and basic knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens TIA portal is considered an advantage). You understand LV & control gear standards i.e. IEC61439. You have basic knowledge on Atex.

You have systematic way of working and patience to concentrate on details. As you are working in international environment, you have a good command of English, but also basic skills in Finnish.
