Bench Fitter - Night Shift

An exciting new opportunity as arisen for a Bench Fitter to join the workshop team in Havant on night shift.

Position description Responsible for General Bench duties within the GBENCH area.
Ability to work to processes with given instruction.
Working to Engineering Drawings.
Working with Castings and various metals.
Cleaning, De-burring, Painting of castings, and basic assembly.
Use of hand and power tools.
Use of some machinery, Power Saw, Bandsaw, Pillar Drill.
Use of overhead cranes.
Use of measuring equipment.
Responsibilities Clear communications and hands on approach with a strong work ethic.
Drive improvements as part of continuous improvement culture.
Working in a safe manner in line with the companies Health and Safety policy.
Maintain working area to a good standard as part of 5S implementation.
Ensure quality is maintained and follow processes for area are correctly implemented to company standards.
Carry out tasks in accordance with set process times to meet deadlines.
Have a flexible approach and at times move onto other disciplines within skill set.
Help with skills flex training and cross train others when required.
Requirements Experience of working in an Engineering environment.
Understand Health& Safety environment/procedures.
Read and understand Engineering drawings.
Manual Handling
Slinging and Lifting
Drivers Licence.
Forklift Counter Balance/Reach desirable.
Good communicator with all levels of business (written & verbal).
