General Manager, Parts Delivery

Wärtsilä Global Logistics Services manages the entire logistics chain of Wärtsilä Spare Parts, going from order intake to customer delivery. And plays a crucial role in enabling sales by maximising availability and on-time delivery. The main purpose of Parts Delivery (PD) is to provide our customers high-quality logistics services, cost efficiently and on time. The scope includes warehousing, classification, tuning, inbound and outbound transportation, as well as invoicing.

Position description We are now looking for a motivated & innovative leader with a solid business mindset who has relentless focus on performance and thrive for actions to lead the Parts Delivery organization into the future. The position is a permanent member of the WGLS Management team and will report to Director, Global Parts Management.

Location is open, and flexible based on suitable candidate's preferences, however preferred at any of Wärtsilä’s main locations in Europe (Finland, Netherlands, Italy, UK).

Responsibilities In this position you will get to work with and will be responsible for the outcome of the following challenges:
-Leading and developing the Parts Delivery organization towards the future
-Ensuring our logistics, warehousing and transportation activities are becoming increasingly efficient to meet the business needs and to improve our competitiveness
-Creating and developing our Parts Delivery strategy and strategy roll-out to ensure we together with WGLS and other key stakeholders work towards key improvement areas
-Continuously developing the Parts Delivery organizations’ competence and behaviours to ensure high quality, cost efficiency and timeliness

-M.Sc. degree in Economics or other relevant education combined with a solid track record of related work experience in a global setting and in global management teams.
