The Data and Analytics team is responsible for the total lifecycle management of data driven solutions. These include services for data warehouse and business reporting, advanced analytics, robotics process automation and global master data.

Position description We are looking for a Data Engineer for the Advanced Analytics service. The Data Engineer is accountable for the lifecycle management of data and analytics solutions. The keys for success is to become an expert in Wärtsilä data platforms, and the close co-operation with the data scientists, developers and business stakeholders to ensure that business requirements are fulfilled. Together with the service manager, to foresee and plan the advanced analytics roadmap and actively take a part for a planning and build-up of a modern data platform.
Responsibilities • Development of solutions for acquisition, analysis, consolidation and delivery of data from different heterogenous source systems
• Requirements specifications together with solution managers and business stakeholders
• Lead, support, consult and participate to development projects
• Further development of the data platform for continuous delivery of data and analytics
• Manage the documentation in own responsibility area
• Stakeholder communication in own responsibility area

Requirements • Knowledge of applied analytics and machine learning methods
• knowledge of data modelling and database technologies
• Knowledge of Big Data platforms such as Hadoop and Spark
• Knowledge of DevOps practices
• Knowledge of cloud computing services, such as AWS and Azure
• Experience as full stack developer is a plus
• Customer orientation
• Fluent in marketing and selling ideas and solutions to the stakeholders
• Very good in documentation and presentation skills
• Very good collaboration and change management skills
• Proactive, development-minded, independent and goal-focused attitude to work
• Fluent written and spoken English

• M.Sc. / B.Sc. in relevant area
• Over 5 year experience in relevant assignments
