Position description Accountabilities:
• Day-to-day oversight and management of Wärtsilä China’s digital presences, especially Wartsila.cn and WeChat
• Strategic development of the above-mentioned channels (and possibly other necessary digital marketing and communications channels)
• Strategic support for corporate and business unit events with above-mentioned channels

Overall Responsibilities:
The Specialist, Digital Marketing & Communications, is responsible for the overall and strategic management, administration and development of the core digital channels in China – such as wartsila.cn and WeChat (not exhaustive).

This role will be closely aligned with:
• Wärtsilä China’s Communications & Branding team,
• the Global Communications and Branding’s Digital & Communications Network team, which oversees the global social media channels,
• and the Manager of External Online Channels, who oversees the development of Wartsila.com.

He/she is also tasked with working closely with global and local stakeholders, including global Business Unit marketing teams and corporate functions, Wärtsilä China’s management team, and Wärtsilä China’s business teams and corporate functions. This is in line with the cooperative strategy of Communications & Branding and Wärtsilä’s businesses. He/she is tasked with developing effective Digital Marketing and Communications plans and processes that will bring benefit to local business and the global Wärtsilä brand. The incumbent is expected to report monthly on tasks, plans, highlights, lowlights, etc.

Communications Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a strategic plan for the growth and development of activity, traffic, following, engagement and other key metrics for Wartsila.cn and WeChat
• Develop Marketing and Communications Plans to ensure that WeChat and Wartsila.cn are integrals part of key local activities (events, campaigns, launches, seminars, announcements)
• Day-to-day cooperation with local businesses to provide them with advice and support on digital Marketing and Communications matters
• Content planning, development and execution
• Provide local and global stakeholders with regular and insightful analytics for wartsila.cn and WeChat
• Maintain the reputation of Wärtsilä and Wärtsilä China in the online community
• Crisis management in the online channels
• Provide trainings for colleagues on digital marketing, social media and advocacy
Requirements • Knowledge of key digital marketing skills, including SEO, SEM, paid and organic social, audience targeting, PPC, email and mobile marketing, marketing automation

• Very good written and verbal communications skills in English and Mandarin, including the ability to translate basic articles and posts between English and Mandarin

Bachelor Degree • Prior experience managing digital marketing and communications at client-side or agency-side is a must
• Experience working with digital and marketing agencies
