Responsibilities As a Workshop Foreman you will have overall responsible for all Workshop activities performed under your supervision such as:

• Development and overview of the local Workshop business along with process quality & efficiency
• Financial results, margin deviation and accruals, of the local Workshop
• Cost to serve control and awareness
• Customer satisfaction within local Workshop activities
• Implement QHES (Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental) procedures in local Workshop.

• Responsible for developing and implementing the Workshop processes, related to invoicing and to the customer follow-up, according to the business growth and Service strategy
• Responsible for the continued improvement of the workshop process and way of working related to the specific tasks in complete interaction with other departments and Field Service Manager
• Responsible for developing and conducting workshop personnel competency assessment and development discussions annually
• Responsible for planning the training and development of the Workshop personnel
• Responsible for workshop safety, proper use of Personal protective equipment, reporting near misses and safety concerns through our WeCare system

• Monitor Workshop Key Performance indicators (KPI’s)
• Plan and Oversee Workshop activities and provide necessary resources depending on work load
• Review of Workshop reports, time sheets, and expense reports
• Maintain workshop resource scheduling tool and reporting tools
• Comply with ISO 9001:2008 & ISO 14001:2004

• Certification in: EMS 14001, OHS 18001, QMS 9001/2008, EIAPP
• Budgeting and Reporting Capabilities
• Ability to Utilize IM applications and IM tools and Service software
Bachelor’s engineering degree (Marine or Mechanical Engineering, Maritime University) and 5 years related experience, or associates degree and 8 years related experience, or diploma from technical school and 10 years related experience as:
• Service Engineer or site leader with experience on Diesel Engines
• Supervisory position (Shipping or Industrial Services)
• Ability to read and comprehend Electrical/Mechanical drawings
• Hands on Experience on Diesel Engines, preferably Wartsila engines
• Workshop experience, preferably on Wartsila Engines Components
• Experience in supervision of teams
