Position description Wärtsilä Energy Solutions, Engine Power Plants is hiring two Development Managers to lead power plant base solution development, working as members of Solutions & Modularisation team in Technology & Product Management department.

Location: Vaasa, Finland
Responsibilities As a Development Manager, power plant solutions, you lead projects to develop new Wärtsilä Engine Power Plants base solutions and maintain Engine Power Plants competitiveness by active product management. The position can be adjusted to be senior development manager or (senior) project manager according to applicant background, orientation and plan and will to develop herself/himself.
Requirements To succeed in this role, you should hold a MSc or BSc in energy technology, mechanical engineering, process engineering, or other equivalent.

You should also have project management will and skill: shown capability of planning, executing and documenting one’s own and others work in a development project setting over a longer period of time.

Other requirements:
- Knowledge and understanding of energy technology and engine and power plant products
- Capability and interest of development-oriented thinking
- Good written and spoken English, ability to plan and document one’s work in writing
- Interpersonal and situational awareness skills to work successfully in a fast-paced, international project business framework
