GM Operations, SU Latin America North and Caribbean (LANC)

The selected candidate will be accountable for the effective performance and proactive development of all Operations
business in LATAM North and Caribbean: a 60 MEUR growing business involving Field Service, Workshop Services,
and Contract Management (Long Term Service Agreements)
This is leader of a great team of more than 200+ professionals that have to deliver competitive and high quality Services in more than 20 countries (LANC).
For Field and workshop services, ensure the right infrastructure, competence, quality and safety is in place for timely and
efficient(profitable) execution of service jobs.
Participate in technical & warranty discussions with customers. Perform and participate technical
product presentations with the Sales, Project Departments etc.
For Contract Management, lead and manage Long Term Service Agreements activities in order to make sure quality, financial,
cost and customer satisfaction levels are on target. Execute assigned contracts in accordance with Wärtsilä Services guidelines, process and
general management practice in a safe and cost effective way, ensuring the continuity, renewals and growth of Agreements business in the area.
Organize, develop and manage the own team to fulfill the needed tasks and actions to reach the business targets, the yearly development
discussions and action plan.
Follow up financial, operative and technical performance through reviews, reporting, and corrective actions.
Assists the Customer Assistance Center during warranty period in their product care and service product development.
Ensure customer satisfaction by swift response to customer claims.
Additionally, provide expert services, train SU LANC resources and promote new business development.

Position description Lead and manage the Operations Department (Field Service + Contract Management) in our Service Unit Latin America North and Caribbean (SU-LANC)by providing high level Delivery management, training, field and workshop services activities in a Multi-country Service Unit to enable optimal performance of customer installation and to ensure customer satisfaction
Create and ensure the implementation of action plans for SU LANC operations, resources and contract delivery in
accordance with Wärtsilä services guidelines.

Location: Quito, Ecuador; Panama City, Panama; Bogota, Colombia
Responsibilities Ensure that technical and operating issues/tasks are solved in optimized and timely manner.
Ensure that the Service Unit, area and global services business objectives and targets are met.
Monitor and report SU LANC services business performance.
Ensure training and development of direct reports. Actively participate in competency development of key CD, FS and WS
staff to support operational needs of organization.
Ensure the proper implementation of local, area and global processes and tools according to business as well as
Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines.
Ensure that the organization continuously seek for solutions according to best practices in Wärtsilä.
Proactively work to enable cross-organizational cooperation.

Strong communication skills, written and oral.
Fluent in English (spoken and written. Knowledge of Spanish language will be an added advantage.)
Bachelor/masters degree in engineering from a reputable university
certificate of competency.
Minimum 10 years of experience in Wärtsilä services or similar industry with at least five years in senior leadership
