Position description Overall responsibility of Safety, Health and Environment administration. Giving safety instructions at the site Checking compliance with country-specific or Company regulations applicable at the construction site by means of daily walk-downs (site checklist); where necessary, stipulating measures, checking and documenting thereof Documenting non-conformances and primary hazards Promoting prompt elimination of non-conformances Ensuring and maintaining neatness at the construction site (routing cables and other lines overhead, immediately cleaning up spilled liquids, keeping escape routes clear, etc.) Providing support to the Plant Manager in monitoring coordination of activities relevant to safety that have a high hazard potential (for example,crane work, work in confined spaces, hot work such as cutting and welding, work at elevated workplaces, hot works, working at higher located places) Monitoring the provision and correct handling and use of personal protective equipment Checking compliance with inspection intervals for tools, lifting gear, load attachment rigging and other technical equipment (both in the case of Wartsila and external firms); Checking compliance with inspection intervals for first aid, alarm and fire protection equipment Checking compliance with regulations on the handling and storage of hazardous substances (fuel, oils, urea, chemicals etc.)
Requirements EHS Management: including Safety / environmental protection Strong communications skills Team worker Willingness to travel to different sites at short notice Customer relationship management Multitasking – able to follow different installations simultaneously Spanish mother tongue (Mandatory) Good knowledge of English (B2 level) Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. Environmental Engineering, HSE or related 2 - 4 years HSE Coordination experience.
