Qualification Expert / Manager

Wärtsilä Services is looking for Qualification Expert/Manager.

As a member of the Product and Technical Management within Nuclear Services organization you will be part of team who are providing support to deliver parts, field services, projects and especially contracts for Emergency Diesel Generators and their auxiliary components used in nuclear power plants. When Emergency Diesel Generators' design has to be changed, approval of the change has to be given by local authority in each country. The new designs has to be qualified for use in the nuclear power plants. Equipment / component qualification process ensures design's capability to perform designated safety functions on demand under postulated service conditions including harsh accident environment.

This position is located in Surgeres or Mulhouse (France), in Vaasa or Helsinki (Finland) or in Trieste (Italy).

Position description - Planning, implementing and controlling qualification management with applicable requirements
- Supporting sales activities of qualification projects over the world
- Ensuring traceability of customer requirements throughout project delivery
- Maintaining qualification processes, plans, tools and reports to ensure project delivery
- Developing internal competence with relation to Nuclear qualification in Wärtsilä
- Coordinating competence and collaboration with other Wärtsilä businesses
- Managing operative implementation of the project by internal and external partners
Requirements - Ability understand and contribute structural analysis of mechanical components
- Courage to propose practical methods based on vague standards
- Project management skills
- Solid leadership skills and experience in leading teams
- Skilled in problem solving and root cause analysis
- Good communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Ability to made, check and approve technical documents for not technical people - MSc / BSc in engineering / structural analysis
- Fluent in English
- French is seen as great advantage - Experience to work in a global environment
- Experience to work in nuclear industry
- Experience of environmental, ageing, seismic or electromagnetic compatibility qualification
- Experience of different qualification methods such as analysis, testing and experience based
- Experience of design, vibration or structural analysis of combustion engines or their auxiliaries
