Technical Services is a globally recognized technical knowledge center within Wärtsilä Services. The main task of Technical Services is to provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders during the lifecycle of products and solutions delivered or serviced by Wärtsilä.

We are now looking for a Superintendent Engineer to Plant Automation team, Technical Services in Vaasa.

Position description The team gives Technical Life Cycle support to internal as well as external customers. The experts participate in product improvement issues, development projects and perform Site Audits as well as field follow-up and investigations on the field. We are now looking for a (Senior) Technical Superintendent, to strengthen the team. This position is in Vaasa, Finland. Responsibilities Provide technical support to external and internal customers in plant automation related questions, including PLC's (Programmable Logic Controllers)and HMI's (Human Machine Interface).
Perform troubleshooting which requires high technical knowhow of the product and installation.
Participate in the development of new and existing control and monitoring system products.
Give training support and product presentations.
Participate in the introduction of new products in the field.
Requirements MSc or BSc in Automation engineering or an equivalent education.
Good command of English, both oral and written.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Willingness to travel (estimated 30-80 days per year).
Experience of control and monitoring systems within power plants or marine.
