Business Development Manager LNG Africa & Europe

Wärtsilä France is looking for a Business Development Manager for LNG business in Africa & Europe.
Position based in Paris.

Position description • Sharpen the customer value proposition & Define and execute country /sub-region / region plan to create opportunities develop a game plan for each deal with Area Sales)
• Develop our value offering for LNG Business Unit within Africa & Europe Area Sales
• Report the LNG related activities & projects in the Area
• Act as a proposal leader for selected projects and assist Regional BDM
• Achieve opportunity management / organizational alignment (Technical and commercial)
• Proactively work to enable cross-divisional and cross-organizational cooperation throughout balancing local & global view through our sales process to meet Energy Solution goals
• Reduce risk in deciding where, when and to whom our solution will be marketed
• Increase marketing efficiency by directing efforts specifically towards the designated segment in a consistent manner
• Accurately forecast and deliver sales with profitability and risk profiles according to company directives
• Increase awareness of Wartsila solutions and services and identify and develop relationships with potential customers
• Validate terms and conditions of contract
• Ensure high level customer relationship management
• Develop and manage long term relationships with key customers
• Drive Energy Solutions’ mission, vision and values
Requirements • Good engineering understanding, from the LNG and Energy business
• LNG infrastructure Technical product portfolio knowledge
• Marine and FSRU background recommended
• Understanding customer and its business
• Understanding sales financials
• Understand for project development
• Able to understand how to influence regulation changes
• Excellent sales and contract negotiation skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong planning skills
• Team player attitude with ability to lead the sales team
• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial attitude
• Goal oriented "closer”

- Fluent English and french skills, ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
- Spanish is an advantage
- Educational background: M.Sc. Econ. or Technology, or similar

• Minimum 5 years LNG project sales, and/or LNG project development experience
• Capable of arranging meetings and interacting with senior decision makers in customer's organization
• Comprehensive understanding of the LNG and energy sector
• Understanding of project finance, OGI and Energy construction, operation and economic drivers
