Sales Engineer

QuantiParts (TM) trades OEM (Original Engine Manufacturer) spare parts and provides technical support for selected mature Wärtsilä medium- and high-speed 4-stroke engine brands, such as Deutz, Stork, Bolnes, A25/S20, Poyaud, SACM and Crepelle. The company is based in Zwolle, the Netherlands, where its spare parts are traded from. The company’s stock consists of over 5 million components for more than 40 different engine types.

The product portfolio of QuantiParts, consisting of classic engines whose production may have been discontinued, benefits from a lean operating model suited for the market segment in question. QuantiParts employs about 70 people in Zwolle and in France. QuantiParts is a Wärtsilä Company and serves its customers worldwide.

Position description
QuantiParts is looking for a Sales Engineer.

Responsibilities Offers & Sales
Be able to actively sell any spare parts and or field service directly to a customer or to Network Companies and distributors
Technical identification, completeness and correctness including terms and conditions and transportation, in time
Sales follow-up and communication to internal and external stakeholder about orders and offers
Opportunity awareness and focus on increasing scope, including promotional activities.

Order and offer handling
Identification, completeness and correctness including terms and conditions and transportation, in time
Push for result to end user and/or own organization
Follow-up and communication to internal and external stakeholders including backorder management
Prepare and be responsible for customer or inspector visits for specific orders (like Navy)

Claim / Returns & customer satisfaction
Orderly handling of claims and returns with focus on efficiency and time
Ensure customer satisfaction and initiate actions to continuously improve customer satisfaction

Identification Timely and efficient technical identification including replacements and alternatives and obsolescence
Installed Base Ensure correctness of installed base with our customers/ Network

Be prepared for additional technical and sales product trainings

Properly follow sales margin and overdue invoices (credit control). Be aware of overall profitability
Requirements Dutch and English speaking, French, Spanish and German speaking is an advantage
Solid knowledge of engines belonging to the QuantiParts scope.
Knowledge of SAP modules
Knowledge on L/C documents

MBO/HBO or higher in engineering/commerce 3 years in the marine industry
