Wärtsilä Gas Solutions is a global business line within the Marine Solutions division. The business line turnover is approximately EUR 320 million, with people located in many locations such as Norway, Poland, UK, France, Finland and China. The business unit has end-to-end responsibility from Sales through to commissioning of completed systems. There are currently six market segment oriented business units within the Wärtsilä Gas Solutions business line.

Wartsila Gas Solutions offers systems and solutions related a number of oil & gas segments. The scope includes marine LNG and LPG cargo systems, fuel gas systems for marine vessels, onshore gas terminals, biogas systems, flare gas ignition and tank control systems to mention some.

Position description - Lead the development of methods for performing operational data analysis for WGS products in close cooperation with WGS product owners and WGS Innovation department.

- Lead internal innovation activities related to other digital products or business methods, including “Digital Core” initiatives.

- Maintain in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the Operim® product, including relevant WGS products and process simulation software (WinSim Design II). Maintain a reasonable level of software programming skills in Visual Basic, Python and Quickbase.

- Ensure updated documentation of Operim® and its methods.

- Monitor the production of Operim automated analysis and verifying quality and correctness.

- Participate in troubleshooting, fault finding, RCA’s when data indicates faulty operation of a plant.

- Participate in studies and modification projects with the aim of reducing energy consumption and environmental impact of plants in operation.

- Participate in sales activities, training sessions and other related work.

- Stay broadly updated on most WGS products with a particular focus on operational issues.

- Maintain a good understanding of how WGS Aftermarket can provide value to our customers, and how this effort translates into profitable business for Wartsila.
