As a member of the TroubleShooting Team within the Service Unit France Technical & Warranty Services, you will be called for investigations on sites : troubles &/or failures root causes, audits, assistance on demanding jobs technically & quality-wise.
As an Expert, you will ensure, when requested as pertinent per Differentiated Service Model, the assignment of some Field Service tasks, performance and communication with customers and stakeholders.
This position is located in Marseille, France.
Investigate and troubleshoot cases (quick fix solutions or recommendations for more long term actions generating services opportunities).
Develop and enhance relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Participate in technical meetings with customers and Wärtsilä Technical L1 Experts, Sales & Field Services.
Secure, when requested, the challenging Field Services jobs (checking & overview on the reassembled/reconditioned engines at restart and sea trials).
Develop and maintain communications with L1 Technical Experts, as well as being a reference & promoter for skills development within Field Services resources.
B.Sc with long professional experience or M.Sc in Engineering ; covering mechanical equipments for energy applications or trucks/automotive industry.
Experience of hands-on working with combustion engines assembly and service, engineering or testing for min. 5 years.
Experience to write technical root cause analysis, troubleshooting and modifications.
Experience to work with product & data management tools.
Good knowledge of Wärtsila data management (CRM, SAP, IDM, WDMS, ...) is considered as an advantage.
Experience on sea &/or on land as part of an operational team (eg. : crew, Operations & Maintenance agreement team, ...) would be appreciated., on Wärtsilä and other engines brands
Problems solving and decisions making capability.
Willingness to develop 4-Stroke engine automation know-how (electrical/electronic functionality as operational user).
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent communication (verbal & in written formats), influencing and networking skills.
Strong quality mind-set to work according to procedures and instructions per Operational Excellence philosophy.
Technical reporting skills (considering support documentation exclusively in English).
Keen for travelling & being promptly available (on the field most of the time ; above 75% of the time).
Languages : English, requirement to be fluent at oral and in written ; French appreciated.
Knowledge in Spanish, Finnish, Italian cultures and languages is seen as an advantage
