|Position description||The main task of Technical Services is to provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders during the life cycle of products and solutions delivered or serviced by Wärtsilä.|
Be an Expert within Technical Services, responsible for troubleshooting automation and control systems for 4-S engines.
The responsibility area includes collecting, analyzing and comparing performance feedback of the systems. Actively support colleagues within Technical Services and Services in general, as well as assist the Engine Experts, R&D and product engineering departments in development issues by utilizing collected field experience complemented with own expertise and experience. Participate in field testing activities, failure analysis process and root cause analysis. Directly support customer on the field if required.
You will be located in Trieste.
MSc or BSc in Controls or Automation Engineering, or similar level reached on the job.
Good command of English, both oral and written. Systematic way of working and analytical skills. Open-minded, team player and eager to learn new things.
Willingness to travel and to work in a multicultural environment.
Earlier experience of technical troubleshooting and embedded automation systems as well as experience from combustion engines are seen as advantages.
