Wärtsilä Australia Pty Limited, Energy Solutions business is looking to employ a Sales Manager.

Wärtsilä Energy Solutions is a leading global supplier of ultra-flexible power plants of up to 600 MW operating on various gaseous and liquid fuels. Our portfolio includes unique power generation solutions for baseload, peaking, reserve and load-following, as well as for balancing intermittent renewable energy. Wärtsilä Energy Solutions also provides utility-scale solar PV power plants, as well as LNG terminals and distribution systems. As of 2016, Wärtsilä has 60 GW of installed power plant capacity in 176 countries around the world

Position description Wärtsilä Energy Solutions is looking for a professional who will focus on business development and sales in Australia and Oceania. The position is based in Sydney.

-Market development and sales in Australia and Oceania in line with Wärtsilä Energy Solutions strategy
-Create new relationships with stakeholders (customers, partners, consultants etc.) and maintain/improve existing relationships
-Actively seek and identify opportunities and coordinate preparation of winning bids
-Support the team in developing and executing action plan
-Proactively work to enable cross-divisional and intra-divisional cooperation
-Negotiate contracts while ensuring compliance with Wartsila’s policies, business processes and guidelines
-Ensure high level customer relationship management
-Collect market information (needs, trends, price levels etc.) and communicate this to relevant internal teams
Responsibilities Energy Solutions business development and sales in Australia and the Oceania region.
Requirements -Minimum 7 years work experience; preferably 5 years in sales of high value products and/or solutions
-Hands-on mind-set, high energy, ability to manage complexity
-Excellent communication and influencing skills
-Strong team focus with cultural sensitivity
-Fluent in written and spoken English
-Skilled in value selling; power plant value selling experience would be advantageous
-Excellent sales and contract negotiation skills
-Understanding of project finance would be advantageous
-Understanding of LNG business and knowledge of Solar industry would be advantageous
-Willingness to travel over 50% of the time
-Australian passport holder

-MBA with a background in engineering (BSc or MSc degree)

-Minimum 7 years work experience; preferably 5 years in sales of high value products and/or solutions
