Manager Technical Support

Position description -Ensure high quality Technical Support for internal and external customers within the area of responsibility
-Lead, manage, train and coach Technical Support personnel within the Service Unit
-Follow up and promote employee satisfaction
-Ensure development of competent resources
-Implement Technical Services way of working
-Support CAC function locally as required
-Develop and enhance relations and co-operation between SU´s and with local companies
-Facilitate good collaboration within end-to-end technical support delivery chain
-Channel/spread new information and technical knowledge from global organizations to SU Technical Support personnel
-Follow-up and supervise needed actions to secure customer satisfaction regarding Technical Support in the Area
-Promote and implement QHES (Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental) procedures among SU Technical Support personnel

Review & reporting:
-Follow up Technical Support performance through reviews/reporting and take corrective actions when needed
-Report to RCTS and SUTS implementation of Technical Services processes and other parameters as requested

Development Responsibilities:
-Development of the Technical Support personnel, capabilities and way of working in the Service Unit in accordance with the strategy, action plan and business needs.
-Provide improvement ideas about products, solutions and ways of working based on SU experiences to relevant global organizations

Planning:
-Actively evaluate Technical Support demand from the SU and agree actions with SU, RCTS and AREA TS to close possible demand vs. supply gaps
-Prepare SU input for the Technical Services global road map and action plans.
-Participate in rolling cost forecasting, action planning and action implementation in the SU in order to meet agreed targets
-Ensure that Technical Services mission, vision, road map, processes, procedures, actions, tasks and targets are communicated in the SU to achieve goals
Requirements -Excellent technical knowledge of Wartsila products
-Leadership and management experience
-Proven ability to deal with customers and deliver high quality Technical Support
-Good communication skills
-Fluency in English language
BSc / MSc in technical area or equivalent. -Minimum 5 years in TS role
-Experience with Gas Fired engines is an advantage
