Project Manager - Fiber- Wood Handling

Job description: Valmet is where talented professionals from a wide variety of backgrounds comes together to serve the customer. We're looking for a Project Manager to join our team and oversee projects for the pulp and paper industry for profitability, performance, on time delivery, and customer satisfaction from the time of the sale to the end of the warranty period. Projects will be in the Fiber, Wood Handling, and Paper business lines.

In this position you will be responsible for the full life-cycle of projects. This includes reviews, establishing time frames, determining funding limitations, project staffing requirements, and allocation of available resources to various phases of the project.

You will also lead project meetings and coordinate closely with our Purchasing team to confirm pricing, procurement and delivery of equipment, materials and services.

This is a pivotal role ensuring there is continuous communication with the project team, the customer, other key internal stakeholders and related vendors.
Requirements: Well qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or Associate's Degree with 3 to 5 years equivalent experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of papermaking process/papermaking products preferred, but not essential.

Excellent client management and business literacy skills. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. 30% travel is required.
