Applications (Engineer) Specialist

Job description: Are you interested in applying your skills and knowledge to providing applications and sales support to Valmet's sales network? This position will be based out of a Valmet US location and will primarily support our Thunder Bay, Ontario location. You will be responsible for the application, sales and promotion of the company's products and quality customer services in assigned market areas and accounts for direct business.

You'll be part of a talented group focused on:

*Maintaining a current business plan for the assigned market area in all Product lines.
- Meet of exceed annual bookings budget
- Identify key accounts and key strategies
- Prepare/maintain target bookings forecast

*Jointly responsible with Product Managers to evaluate customer needs/inquiries and submit timely proposals.

*Provides customer feedback, competitive intelligence, including pricing information, product strengths/weaknesses, technical concepts and performance data to Product Managers.

*Assists in gathering field information for process surveys, analysis and projects.

*Participates in system start-up, troubleshooting and service when required.
Requirements: We're looking for candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a four-year college or university or a Technical degree plus 4 to 8 years of experience. Minimum of five years' related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in software programs such as MS Office and other computer skills as required. Good oral and written communications skills.

Travel: 25 to 40%
