Do you enjoy problem solving and working in a team environment? The Traffic Specialist role is responsible for import related activities within the North American Logistics group. You’ll work closely with customers’ logistics departments to ensure all shipping instructions are clearly understood and followed for shipments en route to Valmet customer sites while also verifying import documentation for accuracy. Additionally, you will coordinate with freight carriers, customs brokers, and freight forwarders to maintain customer delivery schedules and advise internally on issues. Finally, you will ensure compliance with all normal customs regulations and the Valmet Compliance Manual while monitoring new regulations that become released.
Requirements: Well suited candidates will have an Associate’s Degree in General Studies or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and related work experience in logistics and customs compliance.

The right candidate will also possess strong critical thinking skills, be highly organized, and have proficient knowledge of Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) for the U.S..
