Mill Sales Manager - US Northeast

Job description: Are you interested in playing a key role in building and maintaining solid working relationships with customers. The goal of the Mill Sales Manager is to seek out and clearly understand the needs and concerns of our customers within the pulp & paper industry and determine how Valmet can partner with them. This requires a firm grasp of the sales process and a willingness to work cooperatively with our customers, and also internally with our Valmet experts, to ensure the right solutions at the right time. This can involve equipment upgrades, rebuilds, repairs, and parts and services. You’ll also have the opportunity to flex your experience regarding marketing and brand building to achieve key targeted business goals for all of Valmet’s product lines.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Promoting and selling the entire Valmet solutions offering within assigned regional territory.
• Exploring performance concerns and securing opportunities to quote on customer needs with focus on Valmet’s broad range of technologies and solutions.
• Since you work closely with your customers you'll spend time visiting their facilities - this could entail travel up to 60% within your defined territory to ensure their satisfaction.
Requirements: Well qualified candidates will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Business or Engineering or related degree from a four-year college or University; 5 to 10 years' related experience in various positions within a paper mill such as machine engineer, process manager, paper mill operations or maintenance management or service supplier to the industry; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position will cover New York and Pennsylvania territories and will work from home office within that region.
