Thermal Engineer

Job description: Are you the new experienced Thermal Engineer we are looking for in Board & Paper Mills Business Unit?
As a Thermal Engineer, you will a part of R&D and project engineering team. You will be responsible for developing thermal calculation procedure and software, and for performing thermal calculations of processes and equipment in delivery projects. It is on your responsibility to define the content of thermal systems, follow the standards and regulations of the corresponding technology, and develop the concepts with our partners.

In addition, your work will consist of several types of development work within calendering and coating processes.

Thermal Engineer is an important player to ensure the competitiveness of Valmet’s equipment and processes today and in the future.
Requirements: We are looking for an experienced person who is ready to take a role as a valued thermal engineering professional.
We expect you to have following qualifications:
- Industry knowledge and experience especially from thermal calculations
- Knowledge of paper making equipment and processes
- Understanding of machine design and strength calculation principles
- M.Sc or B.Sc degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Fluent English and Finnish, spoken and written
