Financial Controller

Job description: The Financial Controller is responsible for providing financial overview and leadership of Valmet´s finance organization in Poland and will ensure that the local administrative processes are efficient. This position also includes the role of a business partner and is a member of the local management team.

Support monthly, quarterly and yearly closing procedures in close collaboration with the local and global Finance/Controlling team to ensure an accurate P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow reporting which is line with the statutory and corporate requirements
Provide internal economic consulting in projects and monitor business cases
Implementation of a strong control environment
Play an active role in preparation of budgets and forecasts and ensure that goals are achieved
Prepare management reports as well as ad-hoc analyses for the local and global management
Improve and drive the implementation of controlling procedures, tools and policies
Drive especially corporate operating and procurement processes/policies into the local organization and support the growth of the entity
Manage entity level tax responsibilities with local indirect and direct tax requirements under the support from the corporate tax department and local tax consultants
Provide best in class financial and administrative processes to minimize operating costs
Lead and develop finance employees and build world class talent
Ensure Valmet’s policies and procedures are documented, communicated and implemented
Requirements: 5 years’ experience in Finance and Controlling position; experience in one of the Big Advisory Companies is a strong plus
Experience of managing a finance team ideally with the same scope of responsibilities for business partnering and financial reporting and Tax.
A professional accounting qualification
Experience in international organizations
Good Computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint) and knowledge of an ERP system
Fluent in English both written and oral is mandatory. Another language would be a strong benefit
