DCS Systems Engineer

Valmet is seeking a skilled DCS Systems Engineer to work at our clients site and who will play a major role in supporting the functional requirements of their DCS systems.

Reporting to the Electrical and Automation Manager you will be responsible for the maintenance, programming and development of the DCS and discipline processes of the control systems.
Requirements: This role is exciting and varied but requires close stakeholder management internally and externally. You will need to demonstrate your up to date working knowledge in the development and application of electrical, instrument and control equipment management.

We believe solving and communicating with integrity is key in maintaining relationships with our client. Your goal will be in supporting the implementation of relevant automation projects and improvements. Identifying DCS, instrumentation & control reliability issues. Technical strengths will be instrumental in the application of engineering specifications to drive innovation, continuous improvement and efficient solutions.

To be successful in this role you will need to have an electrical engineering degree or equivalent with hands on experience on Valmet DNA or similar DCS platforms. Working experience in Pulp and Paper or from a heavy industry background and a good working knowledge of DCS controls, automation and process instrumentation would be key to be considered for this position.
