We now are enlarging our Engineering Team in Pescia and are looking for a new Automation Engineer with strong programming competences, readiness to travel when and where needed, and ability to push for customers’ success forward.
The ideal candidate will enjoy working as part of a team as well as independently when needed, will be able to organize and manage conflicting tasks and deadlines and stress situations.

Main responsibilities will be:

Prepare P&Id, I/O lists, function descriptions, function logics and purchase specifications for needed components and systems (motors, electrical panels)
Execute automation engineering of the projects sold, according to technical specifications and valid applicable technical norms, with attention to project budget and deadlines, as well as to the concept quality.
Provide paper and digital documentation to internal customers according to the workflow defined by the Quality Management System
Actively contribute to the automation engineering development by circulating the needed updated information to internal and external customers.
This responsibility also includes the cooperation with suppliers and contractors, to ensure delivery of their part of engineering documents according to Valmet standards
Execute project start-up when needed, in all Company’s responsibility areas globally.

Requirements: Electrical/electronic school background, with high school or university diploma
At least 3 years of automation engineering/programming experience
Training about national and international norms on equipment safety (Machine Directive, Italian CEI Norms etc.) will be appreciated
Microsoft Office
Good knowledge of hardware systems for automation and process control. PLC, communication protocol, supervision systems.
Good knowledge of settings and commissioning of automation drives. Appreciated knowledge about Siemens Sinamics objects.
Good knowledge of PLC programming. Appreciated knowledge about Siemens TIA.
Good knowledge of HMI supervision programming.
Good knowledge motion PLC programming. Appreciated knowledge about Siemens Simotion D controller
Basic knowledge of hydraulic and/or pneumatic and/or electrical and/or aeraulic system engineering
Understanding of measurement and control systems for industrial processes
Good English, written and spoken
Availability to travel worldwide
Flexibility and interest for a complex job including application, engineering and start-up
Coordination skills for start-up situations
Standardization skill
