In Valmet’s Energy business unit, Environmental Systems Technology Unit we develop, sell and deliver projects, which help our marine customers, ship owners, to control the exhaust gas emissions to air and to sea water in efficient way and enable to meet the regulation and emission limits by IMO (International Maritime Organization) and MARPOL (Marine Pollution).
We are looking for a Project Manager to manage our Environmental Systems projects from system definition phase to project completion. You, as a Project Manager will support sales during the latter proposal stages, oversee that contractual obligations being negotiated are realistic from a project execution perspective and ensure a smooth transfer from sales to project. Your main responsibilities are leading the project as agreed in the contract and securing it to the predictable financial end result.
Your tasks include preparation of project plans, managing contract, budget follow up and estimating, time schedule management, internal and external reporting, risk management, as well as managing contractual disputes with customers and subcontractors. An important part of the Project Manager’s job is to develop the interface between Valmet and the customer.
To be successful in this position you should have MSc. or BSc. in Engineering. We expect you to have at least few years experience in international project execution.
You have customer-oriented mindset and good communication skills. You are fluent in English, both written and verbal. Position includes regular travelling and visiting customers. Experience in marine industry is an advantage.
