Specialist, Corrosion

Job description: As a Corrosion Specialist, you will be a part of the Competence team within the Energy Technology R&D function.

You will be responsible for material selection in power boilers, recovery boilers and other demanding corrosion surroundings. An important part of your work will be ensuring state of the art knowledge in the field of corrosion and material selection. This work includes planning of and participation in research projects and corrosion test campaigns, reference management and implementation of results into products.

In this position, you will work closely with colleagues and partners both in Finland and internationally.
Requirements: We expect you to have a M.Sc. degree in Material Technology (or Chemical Engineering), higher degree education (Lic, PhD) is considered a benefit.

You have experience from high temperature corrosion and/or wet corrosion phenomena, as well as experience of material selection in corrosive environments. The knowledge of energy technology and pulping technology is an asset.

The position requires a thorough and systematic way of working and an ability to focus on long term goals. A capability to see the big picture and extract the essential from large amounts of information is also needed.

Good knowledge of the English language is required for this position, knowledge of the Finnish language is a plus. Good skills in using office programs is required. The position requires some travelling both within Finland and internationally.
