This position is a great fit for a highly technical and experienced individual in the paper making process who loves talking to customers and supporting large projects. The purpose of this role is to assure the presence of sufficient paper making know-how in the sales and delivery process for the achievement of the customer's and Valmet's targeted production, quality, and cost objectives.
In this position, you will provide technical sales support on large industrial paper machinery projects. You will work with Product Managers to ensure the quotation and sales concept is correct and value added for our customers. You will be asked to present your technology area to the customers in order to confidently communicate the necessary solution. You will work on performance guarantees and negotiate these terms with the customer for a win-win outcome.
You will also be responsible for ensuring our contracts and agreements with our customers are fulfilled and within budgetary guidelines. This process includes strategic partnership development with our customers which will continue our life cycle relationship well into the years to come.
An excellent communicator will provide assertive feedback to the organization on the success of our projects and development requirements. You will also participate and provide expertise on customer trials.
Other areas this position will work in will be competitor tracking, reference tracking, and technical support for sales.
|Requirements:||In order to perform this job successfully, you should have a technical background in the paper making process. A process or mechanical engineering degree and 7+ years of industry experience is typically required at minimum. Excellent communication, influence, and persuading skills are needed in this role.|
