Job description: Valmet is searching for Financial Controller to support Valmet business development in Turkey and Middle East.

The Financial Controller is responsible for providing financial overview and leadership of Valmet´s finance organization in the region and will ensure that the local administrative processes are efficient. This position also includes the role of a business partner and is a member of the local management team.

Main job duties and responsibilities

Autonomous preparation of the monthly, quarterly and year end closings in close collaboration with the local and global Finance/Controlling team to ensure an accurate reporting which is in line with the statutory and corporate requirements
Support to the monthly management reporting (Cognos)
Monitoring of all financial transactions including follow up of the open item list
Ensuring that the compliance requirements are met and that Valmet policies and procedures are implemented, communicated and documented
Responsibility for bank transactions
Internal economic consulting in projects and monitoring business cases
Implementation of a strong control environment
Playing an active role in preparation of budgets and forecasts, and ensuring that goals are achieved
Preparing management reports as well as ad-hoc analyses for the local and global management
Managing entity level tax responsibilities with local indirect and direct tax requirements under the support from the corporate tax department and local tax consultants
Providing financial and administrative processes to minimize costs
Requirements: Professional Requirements
5 to 7 years’ experience in Finance and Controlling position with experience in international companies and a professional Accounting and Controlling qualification
Managing of all financial issues ideally with the same scope of responsibilities for business partnering and financial reporting and control
Project finance experience
Experience in change management project and ERP implementation would be a benefit
Good Computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint) and knowledge of an ERP system (Logo).
Fluent in English both written and verbal is mandatory
