In Valmet’s Energy business unit we develop, sell and deliver products in Energy and P&P business to customers globally. The Technology unit Boilers and Gasification plants develops, sells and delivers CFB, BFB and gasifier products to customers.
We are now looking for a Product Sales Manager for our Boiler and Gasification Technology Unit. As Product Sales Manager you have the responsibility for preparing technical proposals. Together with sales manager you are as customer interface to customer during sales phase. You ensure that we provide high quality and competitive offers on time that facilitate successful sales and execution of our projects. You’ll coordinate the technical sales work and work closely and cooperatively with our sales managers, product managers, sales project team members, engineering and other disciplines.
Your main tasks and responsibilities include:
- Solution sales in pre-sales phase (concept development, sales presentations).
- Definition of the most competitive technical concept to meet customer needs.
- Review customer ‘s request for quotation documentation.
- Lead and coordinate technical proposal generation and cost estimation.
- You are the contact person for the customer in sales phase regarding technical issues
- Prepare technical specifications and other materials for our proposals in cooperation with the disciplines.
- Equipment dimensioning and boiler thermal design in cooperation with our product team.
- Leading bid clarification meetings and technical negotiations with customer.
Depending on your background, you can also work as product engineer in execution projects once in a while to keep up with the deeper technology development taking care of the technical/process design in projects.
You have a M.Sc. degree on thermal or process engineering and knowledge on boiler processes and preferred minimum of five to ten years technical experience in a similar position within the industry.
You are willing to work closely with our customers. We appreciate a result oriented, customer focused team player and you are able to travel regularly. You can on the other hand consider larger entities but on the other hand you are also capable on very accurate calculation work. You have fluent Finnish and English skills, both spoken and written (other languages are a benefit).
In order to be successful in this job, you need to have the ability to plan and prioritize your own work. You are able to work as a team member and provide technical recommendations to our key customers. You have a systematic way of working and reporting.
