Automation Engineer

Job description: If you're looking to make a positive impact and have your contributions matter on the job, then Valmet has a position waiting for you as an Automation Engineer. You'll work as part of a fully integrated mill maintenance team to troubleshoot and optimize the production line within Siemens PCS7, Step 7, S120/G120 drives and Profibus. You are the key to ensuring robust machine operations through your ability to identify and troubleshoot performance issues. You'll be challenged by a wide range of projects and contribute to success in all areas of operations through close collaboration with other Valmet service team members and the mill's own personnel. Performing configuration changes in cooperation with production and previously written reports in addition to procuring quotes and completing purchase requests for needed spare parts.

Requirements: You will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation or related field, plus five to seven years experience in an industrial production environment.

We're looking for people with a strong commitment to customer success and great communication skills. Ideally you have a good knowledge of PCS7/Step 7 and/or Valmet DNA is preferred. Basic SAP PM knowledge not required, but would be a plus.
