Project Manager

Job description: We are looking for a Project Manager to manage our Environmental Systems projects from system definition phase to project completion.

The Project Manager will support sales during the latter proposal stages, oversee that contractual obligations being negotiated are realistic from a project execution perspective and ensure a smooth transfer from Sales to Project. The Project Manager’s main responsibilities are leading the project as agreed in the contract and securing it to the predictable financial end result.

Your tasks include preparation of project plans, managing contract, budget follow up and estimating, time schedule management, internal and external reporting, risk management, as well as managing contractual disputes with customers and subcontractors.
An important part of the Project Manager’s job is to develop the interface between Valmet and the customer. The Project Manager’s responsibility during the project will continue through the warranty period in cooperation with Valmet’s Service Business Line.
Requirements: To be successful in this position you should
- have BSc. or MSc. in Engineering
- have strong knowledge of industrial process system projects
- have strong experience in dealing with industrial customers and supply contracts
- have experience of working with international teams and leading them
- have strong negotiation skills
- have capability to motivate people
- be fluent in English, both written and verbal
- be willing to travel
