The tasks of the Doctoral Student will comprise theoretical analysis and numerical simulations (FEM) associated with high-rise lightweight buildings and dissemination of the results in scientific peer-reviewed journals, international conferences and doctoral network events.
The work will be supervised by Associate Professor Sami Pajunen and Timo Leppänen (A-Insinöörit Oy).
The Doctoral Student candidate must hold an applicable higher university degree in civil or mechanical engineering.
The Doctoral Student candidate must have an enquiring mind, enjoy problem-solving and be able to think independently while also being able to work in a team. A good command of English, both in writing and in oral presentations, is mandatory.
The tasks of all doctoral students will also include teaching duties that amount to approximately 5% of their annual working hours, unless there are justified reasons to the contrary.
|Salary:||The salary will be based on both the job demands and the employee's personal performance in accordance with the University Salary System. According to the criteria applied to teaching and research staff the position of a Doctoral Student is placed on the job demands levels 1-4. In addition, employees receive performance based salary.|
|Trial period:||Trial period of four (4) months applies.|
|Other:||The position will be filled now for a fixed-term period of four (4) years. Appointment is expected to commence on 1 January 2018 or as mutually agreed.|
