We are looking for a motivated employee to join the SSAB’s group procurement, as a part of Maintenance Procurement Finland -team. You will be responsible for strategic procurement work in specific areas. This position is permanent and can be located at our production sites either in Hämeenlinna, or in Raahe.
About the job
As a Strategic Purchaser, you will be responsible of executing and developing commodity strategies centrally and/or locally according to the strategic procurement process and its associated tools and models. You will also participate in strategic commodity teamwork and establish and manage relations with the commodity team’s internal customers and other stakeholders. You will also be working closely with functions within the organization and external partners.
We expect you to work independently and be proactively involved in developing your role. You will also act within an international environment, so we expect you to be able to travel and communicates well in both Finnish and English in both writing and in speech.
To be successful in your mission you need have an analytical mindset and skills. Other sees you as a leader to look up to with excellent communication skills. As a person, you are result driven, handle stress well, and work effectively under pressure. We also value you to be compelling personality: strong driver of change, independent can-do attitude, flexible mindset, team player and hands-on when needed.
You have a Master's or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, logistics or law. Alternatively, you may have gained similar qualifications and experience in some other way within these competence areas. Experience of SAP, project management and Lean is a merit.
