Position description: We are looking for a Buyer to prepare, optimize and organize all procurement related activities within a project or projects aligning with global procurement policies and procedures.
Main responsibilities • Analyze purchasing needs based on the required technical specification
• Identify potential suppliers, locally and globally
• Conduct the bidding process
• Lead the contracts negotiation with suppliers
• Implement global category strategies and compliance in a project
• Collaborate and communicate closely with other teams in a project
• Follow-up performance: suppliers, costs, quality, delivery deadlines and other contractual obligations of
suppliers etc.
• Achieves Procurement targets for Projects as defined
• Locally leads and coordinates procurement related activities within projects.
• Maintains local database of supplier evaluation & manages local supplier agreements & pricing and starts
supplier claim management process
• Implements & instructs the procurement specialist on proper Purchase Order transactional set up in SAP (pricing
agreements/contracts, single Purchase orders, etc.) and execution of orders for the projects
• Proactively communicate with all levels of the organization on material related issues including those
involving shipments between suppliers/plants while simultaneously mitigating potential impacts to internal and
external customers as it pertains to the projects
• Supporting finance team in the invoicing process for the project.
Qualifications: • Suitable educational background -- Bachelor's degree required
• Experience in procurement processes and tools
• Strong experience of buying for the projects
• P2P (Procure-to-pay) process understanding
• At least 5 years of previous purchasing management experience with understanding of raw materials, suppliers
and supplier capabilities required
