Provide human resource and health services support to the Windsor Locks location of 350 employees, ensuring administrative compliance with human resource policies, procedures, programs, governmental regulations and state and federal employment laws.
Provide organizational, administrative and project support. Functional support areas include recruitment, FMLA administration and tracking, job postings, special projects, data management, Affirmative Action database, lost time control, legal compliance, medical records management, employee data central activities and other areas of support.
Assist with implementation of local and corporate programs, and identify and assist HR Manager in implementing programs to address human resources related business issues.
Coordinate interviews, pre-employment drug screening, background checks for new hires.
Assist with relocation activities.
Support compliance with the employment process relating to applicant tracking/EEO data reporting and record retention.
Track open positions to ensure completion of offer letters, physical exams, drug screens, status changes, orientation confirmation forms, background data and I-9’s have been completed and filed.
Organize interview schedules including, travel and hotel stays for out of state candidates.
Submit open positions to Connecticut Job Board.
Administer processes for FMLA tracking within federal guidelines.
Support the VISA process for company sponsored employees seeking permanent residency.
Assist with implementation and communication of company policies and procedures as well as health service protocols.
Support administration and tracking of hourly performance review process.
Maintain and update employee and medical files.
Administer I-9 filings, updates and tracking.
Administer the Perfect Attendance program including administrative and financial detail and tracking.
Maintain and update Applicant Flow database.
Data entry of confidential employee records; follow up and troubleshoot issues for data integrity.
Support HR Manager with maintenance and tracking of site policy updates.
Design reports from UTM to support managers with needed data, e.g. overtime usage.
Courteously greet employees, visitors, candidates; support HR manager in the efficient and prompt handling issues that arise.
Maintain employee and medical files, job descriptions and change forms.
Provide first line employee relations support for basic issues.
Participate in HR related projects.
High School diploma with at least 7 years significant administrative experience or College degree with at least 4
years significant administrative experience.
Must have high regard for personal accountability.
Must understand the critical importance of commitment to excellence and customer service.
Ability to handle confidential material in a highly professional manner.
Must be obsessively organized and efficient.
Ability to set priorities and be able to multi-task despite multiple interruptions.
High Intermediate to advanced use of Microsoft Office including Work, Excel, PowerPoint
